A Word on Farr Workshops
For lack of a better word, we use the term "workshop" to describe our Leadership Process because there is a "classroom" element. However, the actual process takes place over a six month period, from pre-assessments to post workshop follow-up. Please take a look at our overview section to learn more about why Farr has been a leader in Leadership Development for 50 years.
Who Should Attend Personal Power and Influence (PPI)?
Mid-level managers who desire to broaden their leadership capacities and hone the skills necessary to successfully manage themselves and lead others.
PPI
Overview
Participants in the Personal Power and Influence Workshop are often those who are assigned to contribute to, and then carry out, the visions of upper management. This requires them to be effective leaders, both to those whom they report to and to those who report to them. The workshop teaches them how to develop their own leadership abilities, which helps them find ways to inspire motivation and creative problem-solving in others.
Participants learn how their personality traits affect performance, for both themselves and their subordinates. They examine their own leadership style and behavior patterns, their values, and their motives. They come up with a Personal Leadership Plan, with guidance from Farr consultants, on how to implement it.
In this Workshop, Participants Will Learn To:

Farr's Five Day Program - Core Content
Conscious Leadership
All of Farr's consulting, centers around our pioneering work in Conscious Leadership. Conscious Leadership is the art and science of leading change from a self-aware perspective,
with a keen focus on purpose, and an acute insight into others' perspectives and state of mind. This fully aware state uniquely allows leaders to properly inspire motivation in others and consistently guides them to choose the most appropriate course of action to both solve pressing problems and effectively achieve long term organizational goals.
Our basic premise is this: Enhanced self-awareness ignites conscious leadership, which in turn, drives organizational excellence. Or, put another way, how well leaders understand and manage themselves has a direct and definitive impact
on their ability to lead others
Pre-Workshop - Laying the foundation for success
Prior to attending a five-day Farr Leadership Program, participants will take three assessment tests and a feedback survey will be administered to the participants' peers, subordinates, and managers. This feedback survey will also be used to establish areas of improvement, in order to meet the goals of the Leadership Action Plan.
Post Workshop - Follow-up for lasting results
Retained real world application of skills and behaviors learned in the classroom is critical to a leader’s success. Four to six weeks after the workshop, participants will have a three-way conference call with a Farr consultant, themselves, and their manager, to discuss their Leadership Action Plan and any obstacles blocking the success of meeting their goals.
Six months after the program completion, participants will redistribute the feedback survey to the same peers, subordinates, and managers, and reassess their progress.
The educational process can still continue after this initial engagement with our advanced courses that will take the participants all the way through their stay as CEO.
Farr's unique and lengthy engagement is why so many participants say that our workshops are the most impactful professional experience of their careers. In fact 99% of participants say so.
Farr's program participants rate their experience as having the greatest impact on their professional careers -
