Day One -- 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Morning

This segment of the workshop will examine both the elements and the role of high performance thinking by: 

• Identifying and defining the characteristics of high performance thinking
• Allowing participants to self-test their high performance thinking
• Determining when high performance thinking is necessary and when it is not
• Outlining the roles of thinking and feeling in high performance thinking
• Defining and exploring perception, attention, and cognitive control
• Presenting a model of high performance

Afternoon

This session will examine models from the Intensive Executive Development Workshop, the Personal Power and Influence Workshop, or the Senior Level Executive Development Workshop to:

• Build a model of Due Diligence for high performance thinking
• Review how unaware factors operate and influence high performance thinking
• Identify and articulate HOW unaware factors may sabotage high performance thinking

Homework

Identification of specific situations and people who trigger distorted thinking and problem-solving, for each participant

Day 2 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Morning and Afternoon

The workshop focus will move to developing skills for high performance thinking:

• Review the results of the Critical Thinking Inventory

• The positive elements and how they can be applied
• The negative elements and how they can be managed

• An in-depth examination of perception, attention, and cognitive control
• Expanding the High Performance Thinking Model
• Examining the elements of cognitive distortion
• Creating a strategy to manage your critical thinking, to achieve robust results

Day 3 –  9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Morning and Afternoon

The focus of Day 3 is:

• An introduction to specific tools to apply in the workplace for high performance thinking
• Cultivating balance in the thinking process
• Each participant will identify specific elements to develop an action plan for honing the high performance thinking process
• Peer review:

• Each participant will present their strengths / weaknesses in high performance thinking to the group
• Each participant will present their action plan for improvement to the group
• Each participant will receive feedback from the group on their action plan and refine that plan based on feedback

• Concluding

• Final question / answer session
• Complete evaluations

Accomodations and Hotel Reservations

To assure our clients receive comfortable and convenient lodgings, we reserve a block of rooms at the Ashford Suites Hotel. Please advise our Program Coordinator of your travel plans, and we will make the necessary reservations for you.

The hotel is located directly off Highway 68 & Regency Drive, approximately 1 mile from our facility and just a few minutes from the Piedmont Triad International Airport. Payment for accommodations is each participant's responsibility and is not covered in the workshop tuition. The hotel will charge you for unused reservations so please cancel them directly, if necessary, at 336-812-8787 or 1-877-502-9522. Meals

You will pay individually for all meals, except breakfasts, which are included with your lodging. We will provide you with information on local restaurants.

What to Wear

Casual, comfortable clothing is appropriate for all sessions.

Transportation

Farr Associates' facility, in High Point, is located approximately 1 mile for the Ashford Suites Hotel. The hotel is also within a few miles of the Piedmont Triad International Airport serving Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem. They operate a courtesy van from the airport. You may call them from a courtesy phone in the baggage claim area. They will also provide a courtesy van ride to Farr Associates on the first morning of the program at 8:30 am and for the session that evening. We ask those with cars, while attending the workshop, to offer rides to fellow workshop participants for the remainder of the program.

Registration Cancellation / Reschedule Policy:

**IMPORTANT PLEASE READ**
When you register for a program, we hold a space for you, making that space unavailable to others who might like to attend the same program.  Farr Associates also incurs substantial operating costs related to your registration.

You are permitted one (1) cancellation and/or reschedule, subject to applicable fees, before being subject to forfeiture of the total program tuition.

First Cancellation / Reschedule: No fees if you cancel or reschedule at least 31 days prior to the start of your workshop date.

First Cancellation / Reschedule less than 31 days prior to your start date:

• 30 -20 days prior to the start date = 25% of the program tuition forfeited
• 19-1 days prior to the start date = 75% of the program tuition forfeited
• Start date / No Show / Repeat Cancellation / Repeat Reschedule = 100% of the program tuition forfeited

How to avoid the fees:  Allow someone else to attend your workshop date in your place.  A substitution may be made up to 7 days prior to the start date of your program and is subject to a substitution fee of $100.00.

Refund Policy:  Request for refunds of unused deposits, less any cancellation fees, should be submitted in writing and sent to Farr Associates within 12 months of payment; otherwise, deposits will be forfeited.  For more information regarding administrative policies such as complaint and refund, please contact our offices.
